The Solution A Small Valve Device (VD) is externally attached to the valve or actuator through its standard mating flange or through customized / specific bracket.   • The Eltav solution uses a standard wireless protocol to transmit and receive     messages.   • The VD is battery operated with a long-life battery that will last for years.   • High accuracy valve angle is converted to % of opening and transferred to the local     PLC or DCS via standard interfacing such as Modbus RTU / TCP.
		• Valve position is broadcast to Valve Device Routers (VDR) that are installed in the     process line facility.   • The VDR can be connected to the site network (Ethernet) by wire or the data can be     transmitted via the PROFIBUS output to the PROFIBUS controller.   • A server delivers the data to the process control computer. To control the administrative costs of both the implementer and the user, the devices uses unlicensed radio bands. We have selected the 2.4 GHz band. Additional sensing capabilities The company intends to develop and add additional Analog/Digital Input/Output capabilities in the future.
